Franchi Umberto Marmi, founded in 1971, is a leading company in the Carrara marble district

With 50 years of experience, the Company, led by Alberto Franchi, Chairman and Managing Director and Bernarda Franchi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, operates in the processing and trade of blocks and slabs of Carrara marble, a natural stone with unique characteristics on the national and international markets that is an authentic expression of the "Made in Italy" brand and luxury.

The Company’s activities are mostly carried out at the Headquarter in Carrara (about 47,000 square meters), which includes five modern warehouses used as showrooms and a building which hosts the administrative offices. The Group's new showroom was completed in the early months of 2020 with an additional area of 12,000 square meters, making it the largest commercial space dedicated to Carrara marble. An area built following all the criteria of industry 4.0. Over the years, the Company's constant commitment has enabled it to pursue growth plan by expanding its business on the national and international market by means thanks to a geographic diversification strategy. At the end of the 90s, the expansion focused on the Asian and Middle East market, and then, in the 2000s, the Company began marketing its products on the American market as well.

Temporary projects, events, collaborations and installations are another opportunity for the Company to develop and promote marble and its brand. In this regard, Franchi Umberto Marmi has signed important contracts with prominent customers such as the supply of Calacatta Franchi® marble for the prestigious TheWell skyscraper in Toronto and the resumption of supplies for the construction of the new great Mosque in Jeddah.

A great attention to the culture of marble as a tradition of the town of Carrara, the support for socio-economic development and the respect for and integration with the territory, as always characterized Franchi Umberto Marmi and are a distinctive feature of the brand.

In recent years, the Group has followed a strategy of geographic diversification by expanding its commercial presence on international markets. Franchi Umberto Marmi markets its products in various countries including: China, USA, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Vietnam.
